🇺🇦🤝🇹🇷 At the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Ukraine, Mustafa Levent Bilgen, I attended the official reception at the Ambassador’s residence marking the 104th anniversary of Türkiye’s Victory Day — 30 Ağustos Zafer Bayramı.
The event brought together representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and of the diplomatic corps, ambassadors of foreign states, politicians and public figures.
Today it is especially important to thank Türkiye for its support of Ukraine at an exceptionally difficult time for our state. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Türkiye has remained an important partner of Ukraine: it provides a venue for negotiations and contributes to humanitarian initiatives and to bringing our people home.
Special words of gratitude go to Ambassador Mustafa Levent Bilgen. This reception was one of the closing official events of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine. I thank the Ambassador for his years of work, for his personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian–Turkish relations, for his openness to dialogue and for his support of our state. I wish him every success in his further diplomatic service.
Our countries are joined by the Black Sea — but far more important is what else joins us: mutual respect, partnership and friendship between our peoples.
