Long live the friendship between our peoples!
A warm and constructive meeting took place at the office of the Alliance of National Communities «Європейська Коаліція» between Roland Tseber, Chair of «Європейська Коаліція», and our friend Hikmat Javad, head of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine.
Azerbaijanis in Ukraine are a large, active and respected national community of up to half a million people, living in various regions of the country. They are an integral part of Ukrainian society, as are all the other national communities of Ukraine.
Today members of the Azerbaijani community defend Ukraine in arms, serve, volunteer, work, run businesses and raise children who study in Ukrainian schools and universities. These are people who share with all of us the responsibility for the future of our country.
At the meeting the two sides discussed further cooperation between the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine and the Alliance of National Communities «Європейська Коаліція». They spoke about joint steps, future plans, common ground and opportunities for the development of both organisations.
Separate attention was given to cooperation in inter-ethnic dialogue, to closer engagement with Ukraine’s state institutions, and to the development of good and friendly relations with Azerbaijan. Importantly, Mr Hikmat Javad maintains close ties with leading political and civic circles in Azerbaijan, which opens up additional opportunities for constructive cooperation.
The Alliance of National Communities «Європейська Коаліція» sincerely thanks Mr Hikmat Javad for his support, understanding, openness to dialogue and for a substantive meeting. We greatly value the cooperation, the mutual respect and the shared vision of how inter-ethnic partnership in Ukraine should develop.
We look forward to further fruitful, effective and long-term cooperation for the benefit of our citizens, for stronger friendship between our peoples and for the unity of Ukraine.
We are convinced that Ukraine’s strength lies in the unity, mutual respect and cooperation of all its national communities.
